Reservation in beer garden weather a must! The restaurant is run by a friendly couple. From the host I know that it is difficult for them to find suitable staff. Therefore often not all seats can be used because they are not served. Which explains some of the bad reviews. The landlady is in the kitchen. I was always satisfied. Also recommended in the run-up to Christmas.

Very nice atmosphere, I was served in a very friendly way. On request, the head of the house can give you recommendations for wine and food. A wonderful, balanced wine, delicious food !. Despite the restrictions due to Corona, I was thrilled and would come back anytime!

For us yesterday was the perfect end of the day! Have landed here more by accident and were thrilled! We will definitely be back! The food is freshly prepared. It was absolutely delicious and the curry dip was really legendary. There will soon be fresh chanterelles. You should always keep an eye on the seasonal menu here. If you understand the system, you will understand why guests are sent away, even though there are still vacancies. The couple runs the location alone and they accept what they can do alone. For me more than understandable. These treats are conjured up with just the wife in the kitchen. If you wanted to cater for more guests, the quality would suffer in the end or staff would have to be hired, but whether this bill would really work, another cook for a few tables ?! In Corona time only farmed outside, which is great anyway with the backdrop (if the weather is good) and only makes sense with a reservation! The schnitzel and even the side salad were just great, the staff was fix and VERY nice. We recommend!!!!

Went there today on a bike tour. After some waiting time (2-3 min / restaurant closed) the landlord came around the corner. Without greeting, we were immediately informed of the corona measures in a harsh manner. The corona measures are common and of course acceptable. But not the unfriendly nature of this employee or even boss? Service desert Germany. That's not how it works! We preferred to go on and stop somewhere else.

If you sit outside you have a great view. The food is tavern-style and delicious and rich. Unfortunately, now comes the big "but": The operation is completely incompetent, disorganized and overwhelmed. There are reserved signs on the tables although no one has reserved. So are annoying guests to be kept away. Constantly people have gone though several tables were actually free. At the next table guests left, after 40 minutes and a lot of complaints, they still had no drinks. It is a pity if a bad service ruined a good store and a very good kitchen.

Nice ruin with castle restaurant. There are still many remains of walls where you can imagine the size of the castle. The rear part with the restaurant was renovated and the still well-preserved remains of the walls used as an outdoor area for the restaurant. Over the bridge one enters the hiking trail to the recreational area Kuhberg Bad Kreuznach and the circular route via Bad Münster a. Stone and the castle ruins Rheingrafenstein ...

No great experiences. Neither welcomed nor decently addressed. For this reason, gone again. Did not want or need to earn more money today. Too bad, since the ambience is very nice.

Wonderful old castle in the Alsenztal North of Rockenhausen and South of Bad Kreuznach on B-48. Part of the castle ruins have been renovated and contain a very nice small restaurant. Kids can explore the old ruins and there is excellent hiking in all directions. The restaurant is very nice and has special meals with reservations. There is a larger hall for meetings, family events, weddings, etc.

Great German castle atmosphere. Beautiful views. Excellent food...large servings. Friendly waiter.
